In a family where a father and mother still live together; with their different careers ongoing, there will always be a time when either of them will advance in their career. It could be the woman who advances first. It could as well be the man.
It is alarming to discover that some people feel threatened when their spouse have opportunities to advance in career. Sometimes, a man may feel that his wife will no longer have regards for him when she is ahead in her career. Also, a woman may feel that her husband will no longer have time for her and their children if he advances.
All in all, whoever advances in a career should not be a problem in a family. A couple who loves God, each other, and family, should not feel threatened when either of them advances.
