A babble can be defined as an utter of sounds or words in a quick, excited, confused, or silly way. A babbled word or sound is usually without any meaning or sense. One example where you can see babbles are in babies.

Once a child is born and the process of development commences, babbling is one of the developmental signs which is expected. This occurs between five to six months of a child’s life. Babbling is one of the ways of acquiring language and speech.


In brief, the babbling of a child is meaningless, however, it is normal. It is also a good reminder to every adult of what they used to be like at that stage of their lives.
