Nuts can be defined as edible fruits or seeds that are usually enclosed in a hard shell. They can be consumed as snacks. Some examples of nuts include walnut, chestnut, Brazilian nut, cashew nuts, coconuts, hazelnut and so many other types of nuts.

Nuts contribute positively to good health. They are good sources of phosphorus, potassium, dietary fiber, vitamin E and unsaturated fats and so on. They contain antioxidants which protect the body from diseases such as cancer. Nuts also contain some properties that can help to lower the cholesterol that contributes to heart diseases.


All in all, nuts are very beneficial to health. An inclusion of nuts in your diet is the only way to gain these health benefits.
