Eviction is a forceful removal of a tenant from a leased property, either by the owner of the property or by legal process. People face eviction for different reasons. For instance, when a tenant fails to pay their house rent at as when due, it can result in an eviction. Secondly, when a tenant violates some terms and conditions of a rental agreement, eviction can follow suit.

Again, when a tenant damages the property that he or she resides in, it can result in an eviction. Furthermore, habitual late payment by the tenant can cause the owner of a property to terminate a rental agreement.

Depending on the property owner and sometimes location, the duration before which an eviction takes place could range from three to ten days or more. If the tenant does not vacate the premises after a notice to vacate is served, the landlord can evict the tenant.

Eviction can be embarrassing. It is advised that every tenant abides by terms of rent agreement to avoid facing eviction.
