An anchor is a heavy metal object attached to a rope or chain that is thrown into the sea to moor a ship or vessel. It is used to hold the ship in place, to make it stable and grounded.
An anchor can also be used to refer to a person or a thing who provides you strength, encouragement, and support. In life, there are people who have been a source of encouragement to you and have helped you to attain greater heights by their unwavering support. They could be your parents, friends, brother, sister, mentor or even your boss in the office.
Also, there are some activities that serve as your anchor in life. Those activities make you feel encouraged and strengthened. It could be taking photos of nature or animals. It can also be writing or even volunteering for charitable organizations.
It is wise to stick to whoever or whatever positive that provides you strength and stability.
