Laws are meant for certain purposes. They are meant to maintain order in a society. They are also used as tools to resolve disputes whenever they arise. Most importantly, laws are made in a society to protect the rights of its citizens.

Any law made which does not protect and respect the rights of its citizens means that such a government does not have the interest of its citizens at heart. Also, any law made by a government to favor a particular group of people over another in the same society is unjust and unfair.

No human being should be above the law. Laws are meant for the betterment of all, not for some.
