A shackle is two metal rings joined by a chain which is used to fasten a person’s wrists or ankles. Basically, a shackle checks or prevents free movement and action. In life situations, a shackle is equivalent to whatever prevents or restrains you from doing what you want to do. It could be a shackle of bad attitude and negative thoughts about yourself.
It could as well be wild lifestyle or habits. For instance, a shackle of alcoholism and smoking can prevent you from living a responsible and healthy life respectively. Other shackles such as laziness and procrastination can prevent you from achieving the desired goal in time. Furthermore, inability to properly manage your finances is a shackle that can lead you into bankruptcy.
Whatever is the shackle in your life has to go so that you can move forward and live a meaningful life.
