Vintage is a word used when one wants to talk about the year or place that a wine that is of high quality was produced from a particular harvest or crop. However, this is not the only meaning of this word.
Vintage is also used to describe something; not only wine, that has a very high quality and lasting value. An item is considered vintage when it is old; at least twenty years, and still has modern-day value but not old enough to be considered an antique. Examples of vintage items include clothes, shoes, furniture, and so on.
It is important to also realize that just because an item is old does not mean it is vintage. It has to be of high quality and valuable even in this modern age, otherwise, it is a junk.
