Tension is a feeling of worry, nervousness or anxiety before an important or difficult event. In some cases, tension could be emotional. Other times it could be a mental or nervous strain. Feelings of tension arise in different situations of life.
For instance, some people feel tense when they have an examination to write. Tension also arises when working to meet a particular deadline. In sports competitions, players feel tensed before they go into the field of play.
There are different sources of tension. Stress, worrying, and anxiety are some of the sources through which tension can occur. When your mind is not relaxed, it will definitely cause worries which in turn results in tension.
Tension can be avoided when you try to be relaxed and avoid being stressed out.
