Christmas
It’s Christmas. A time of joy and rejoicing. It’s a time family gather together from the nook and crannies of this earth to be with their loved ones, to merry and celebrate. It is also a time of shopping, writing of unending shopping lists, and exchange of gifts.
Misnomer
A misnomer is the misnaming of a place, a person or a thing and thereby suggesting a wrong meaning.
Entourage
An entourage is a group of people who surround or attend to an important or famous person(s). These group of people could be servants, assistants or helpers, associates, and friends who work and sometimes travel with the important person.
Dessert
A dessert is a sweet dish usually served as the final course of a meal. It has its root from the French word “dessevir” which means to clear the table.
Medieval
The medieval period is the period from the fifth to the fifteenth century. It is also referred to as the middle age.
Treason
Treason is the act of betraying one’s country either in an attempt to overthrow a ruling government or by aiding its enemies. It also means showing disloyalty to the ruling government.
Scavenging
Scavenging means to pick up and gather something usable from discarded waste materials. It’s the act of gathering things that other people have discarded and no longer want for their use.
Revolution
A revolution is a change in the way that a country is governed or a change in a country’s system of politics. It is usually a forceful change.
Espionage
Espionage is the use of spies by a country to obtain some secret information on the plans and activities of another country.
Embargo
An embargo is a government ban on trade or other commercial activity with a particular country. It is also a restriction of trade for certain products.
