Superstition is a belief or practice resulting from a false conception of causation. It is a trust in magic or chance, a  fear of the unknown. Superstition is mainly as a result of ignorance. It is not based on scientific thinking or reason and it is not realistic.

Almost group or individual in every part of this world has its own superstitious beliefs. Some of these beliefs have robbed people of their health, lives, fortune, and even their destinies. For example, in some parts of the world, it is believed that a single woman should not sit in the corner of a table pointing at her, otherwise she will never wed. Some others believe that if your right hand itches, it means that you will get money and vice versa. Also, some believe that when a black cat crosses your path it means bad luck.

These beliefs have not in any way been proven. However, people strongly believe in these superstitions. Life should not be based on superstitions. Learn to face reality.
