A reward is anything that is given to an individual or a group in return for their good deeds, efforts or achievements. It could be in form of cash, properties, scholarships or any other thing that the rewarder deems fit.
Reward play important and different roles in life. For instance, parents use rewards to encourage a child when they have done well in school or generally for a good behavior. Also at work, a reward is used in recognition of one’s effort towards the progress and success of an organization. Furthermore, a reward is used by the police to commend individuals or group who gives them information about a robbery or helps to capture a criminal who has been at large.
Rewards are good and important. It helps to people or individuals to know that their services are recognized and appreciated. It also encourages one to put in much better efforts and this can help increase productivity especially in organizations.
