Patrol is a regular movement around or through an area in order to keep watch of it. It is usually carried out by Policemen, any form of a security guard or trained personnel(s). Security personnel on patrol go either on foot or in their security vehicle. It could be done on shifts. Patrolling is important and is used for various purposes.
When a patrol is ongoing, officers look out for people with odd and unwanted behaviors, looking out for anything that may be out of place in an environment, controlling traffic movement of people in and out of a place, and most importantly to protect lives and properties from dangerous situations.
The presence of patrol guards in an area is very important. It helps to ward off or scare away threats from operating.
