A nun is a woman belonging to a particular religious order who are under a vow to be poor, chaste, and obedient. She resides in a place known as the convent and has to be a member of the Roman Catholic church, Anglican Church, or a host of other groups. Nuns have different institutes and sisters which are peculiar in their own way.
Even though they have a common goal which is living a prayer life, dedication to serving humanity especially the poor and sick, some of them also support the priests in their missionary work.
Being a nun requires a lot of dedication and devotion. It is, therefore, not something anyone would wake up and choose simply because you are tired of facing some life’s challenges. It is not a path you take because someone in your family is talking you into it. For you to become a nun, you must have the calling and the conviction inside of you, that this is what you are meant to do.
