The medieval period is the period from the fifth to the fifteenth century. It is also referred to as the middle age. Medieval is a Latin word with its origin from the Latin term medium aevum which means middle age.
The medieval period is related to the European history and some of the happenings that took place there especially the fall of the western Roman empire. Other significant happenings include the hundred years war which England waged against France. Also, the great famine of northern Europe which lasted for two years, and so on.
The medieval period is associated with a lot of memorable events, information about great people, and lifestyle of people who lived in that period. All of this has helped to shape Europe’s history.
