Discrimination is the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people especially on the basis of race, age, sex or even social class. It is, having a superiority mentality over others. It can be seen through attitudes, words and so on.
In the family, schools, workplace and the world at large, there is so much discrimination going on in diverse ways and on various levels. For example, Racial discrimination including color, ethnic, nationality. There is also social class discrimination including government policies that suit people of upper class at the expense of lower class.
The act of discrimination is negative. It can stir up bitterness and hate in the hearts of those discriminated against. It can as well result to violence and war. There is therefore need to avoid any form of discrimination because in God’s eyes, everyone is equal.
