Hobo is a North American word used to refer to a migrant worker. A hobo is known to always be on the move, traveling from one town to another. They usually have a short duration of stay anywhere they are found. Hoboes have certain characteristics which are quite peculiar to them when compared to other travelers.
Although they are without money most of the times, when compared to a tramp or a bum, a hobo is more willing to work in order to earn some money. They are, however, homeless most of the times, as a result of repeated travels which could reduce the possibilities of any form of investment.
In addition, a hobo’s health status may be questionable. It is known that good nutrition is one of the basics of good health and general wellbeing. However, it is possible that due to repeated travels, hoboes may have little or no chance of eating right. Under those circumstances, their susceptibility to illnesses may be high.
On the whole, hoboes traveling habit could deny them a lot.
