Green tea comes from a plant known as Camellia sinensis. It is one of the healthiest drinks that exist for anyone who is interested in having good health. Green tea has quite a number of important health benefits.
It is very rich in antioxidants that help in reducing the risk of cancer. It helps in better functioning of the brain and could prevent Alzheimer’s disease. It also enhances your body’s metabolism. Green tea is a cholesterol-lowering agent that can help prevent heart diseases. It helps your blood to flow better. It prevents the common cold and promotes good dental health.
An average of 2 or 3 three cups of green tea in a day is enough to provide the above-mentioned health benefits. It is better not to be taken on an empty stomach rather it should be taken in about 30-45 minutes before or after a meal. Also, adding milk to green tea is not advisable because it will reduce the effects of the antioxidants.
All in all, green tea is worth it.
