A witness is a person who has seen something happen and testifies about what he or she has seen. Witnesses are used especially when there’s crime or accidents. Some witnesses can be true and some false. True witnessing has helped to bring criminals to justice. On the other hand, false witness; both before God and man, is a very terrible crime itself.
It means lying against someone on what they did not do. Some do it for money offered them while some do it for other reasons.
False witness is very costly. People who are victims of false witnessing have lost their lives and for some, their destinies wasted in prisons. For some others, their reputation has been lost and may remain so for life.
Anyone engaging in false witnessing; be it for money or any other reason, should desist from such act. You are ruining lives by doing so.
